ABOUT THE CITY
Abu Dhabi is the capital of United Arab Emirates and the largest of the emirates of the federation. The city is the center of the government and the headquarters of foreign embassies and oil trading companies. Less than 250 meters from the mainland, Abu Dhabi is an island connected to the mainland by the bridges Maqta and Mussafah. However, the city has many growing suburbs on the mainland.
It is a cosmopolitan city with urban architecture, lush gardens and fountains. The city offers business facilities along with leisure activities ranging from state-of-the-art convention centers, luxury hotels, spa, golf courses, theaters, and soon some of the most famous museums in the world. Shopping malls that look like palaces invite the visitor for great shopping. Furthermore tourists can find culinary delights from a big range of cafes, bars and restaurants.
