LOCATION

The island of Aegina has a total area of 85 sq km and is the second largest island in the Saronic Gulf.
It has a population of nearly 17,000 residents and is just 16 nautical miles from the port of Piraeus.

HOW TO GET THERE

There are Daily routes from the port of Piraeus to Aegina with the Hellenic Seaways ship, which boards passengers and vehicles.
For those who choose to travel without their vehicle, there is a choice of traveling with the flying dolphin from the Port of Piraeus which and arriving at Aegina in 35 minutes.
The flying dolphins of Aegean Flying Dolphins carry out the route Piraeus – Aegina, 2-3 daily. 

There are also some ferries that arrive directly to the port Souvala while in summer period there is a ferry that travels directly to the port of Agia Marina.

SIGHTS

Every year thousands of people visit the monastery of St. Nektarios, which is located on the road to Agia Marina, a distance of about 6 km from the town of Aegina.
In Aegina you also can visit several archaeological sites like the Temple of Athena Aphaia, Temple of Zeus Ellanios, the Temple of Apollo and the archeological site of Cologne.

BEACHES

Aegina has several remarkable beaches, we recommend that you visit the following organized beaches: Souvala, Marathon, Vaya ,  Aiginitissa, Agia Marina, Perdika,  Moni and Portes.

ENTERTAINMENT

The nightlife is located at Aegina town and in Souvala where there are many clubs and restaurants.
