LOCATION
Rethymnon is the third largest city of Crete and the capital of the prefecture of Crete.
The population amounts to 32,694 inhabitants (2001 census).
HOW TO GET THERE
You can easily go to Rethymnon by catching a ferry from the port of Piraeus, all year round.
Ferries from Piraeus to Rethymnon are carried out by: Lane Sea Lines, Anek Lines and Sea Jets. There are also ferry connections to Kissamos and Souda.
Alternatively you can catch a flight Heraklion or Chania and then go to the town of Rethymnon by car.
Generally the airports of Crete have several daily flights and you can easily find a plane ticket.
