Dodekanisos Seaways
Dodekanisos Seaways was founded in 1999, by George Spanos, in Rhodes. It started with a high-speed catamaran, the Dodekanisos Express, which was built for the company at the Norwegian shipyard Båtservice Mandal AS and delivered in 2000. In 2005 it built the second high-speed catamaran, the Dodekanisos Pride and in 2011 it bought O / G Panagia Skiadeni.
Every day, 12 months a year, it transports its passengers safely, quickly and consistently to 17 unique destinations in the Dodecanese and the NE. Aegean.
Its aim is to unite the people of the islands, to offer a high level of travel experience to their visitors and to contribute to the development of the local community and economy.
Dodekanisos Seaways' mission is to support insularity and tourism, to listen to the needs of all its destinations and to constantly adapt to them, while maintaining the sustainability of maritime transport.
Its destinations are Rhodes, Symi, Panormitis Symi, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros, Lipsi, Patmos, Agathonisi, Kastelorizo, Halki, Tilos, Nisyros, Arkoi, Samos, Ikaria and Fourni.
Dodekanisos Seaways, wishing to maintain the level of its services at a very high level, implements best practices and enters into strategic partnerships with leading partners in the field. In addition, it maintains excellent communication with all relevant government agencies (Ministry of Merchant Shipping, port authorities, etc.), in order to be able to resolve any issue immediately.
The company has won remarkable awards and has been honored by important bodies for its action. Indicatively, it is noted that in 2015 it emerged as the "Best Shipping Company" by Lloyd's List, while in 2016 it was awarded praise by the Hellenic Red Cross, the Municipality of Rhodes and the Central Port Authority of Rhodes.

The company headquarters are located on the island of Rhodes and its fleet consists of three vessels:
- Dodekanisos Express”, a high speed catamaran carrying passengers and vehicles; speed: 31 nodes; capacity: 337 passengers and 6 passenger cars
- Dodekanisos Pride”, a high speed catamaran carrying passengers and vehicles; speed: 32 nodes; capacity: 280 passengers and 6 passenger cars
- Panagia Skiadeni”, a conventional ferry boat; Speed: 16 nodes; capacity: 700 passengers in summer and 590 passengers in winter. It can carry 115 passenger cars and from 12 to 20 trucks, 6 to 10-meter long.
