Aeroflot  is the national and larger carrier of Russia, in terms of passengers. It is one of the oldest airlines in the world – it has been created in 1923. In 1956 it was the first airline to systematically use jet aircrafts for the flights of its network.

Its fleet consists of 91 aircrafts, and it has another 161 on order. It uses airplanes from both the American Boeing and European Airbus but also the Russian made Illyushins and (in the future), Sukhois.

The airline has as a hub the Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow. It flies to 97 cities in 48 countries.
