TICKET CANCELLATIONS

The deadlines for cancellation of tickets or their conversion to an open date during the High and Low Season, on the lines Cyclades, Dodecanese, North Aegean and Sporades, are the following:

CYCLADES - DODECANESE - NORTH AEGEAN - SPORADES

HIGH PERIOD: 23/04 / 21-09 / 05/21 & 11/06 / 21-26 / 09/21

• 7 days before departure: Tickets are canceled without cancellations or converted to an open date or for another date.
• From 7 days before departure up to 4 hours before departure: 50% cancellation is withheld or alternatively the tickets are converted into an open date or for another date.
• 4 hours before and until departure: 50% cancellation fees are withheld.
• After departure: Tickets are not canceled and are not converted to open date, while the date can not be changed.

The period from 23/04 / 21-01 / 05/21 & from 17/06 / 21-19 / 06/21 for all departures from Piraeus, Lavrio, Volos and Kavala and the period 02/05 / 21-09 / 05/21 & 21/06 / 21-22 / 06/21 for all departures to Piraeus, Lavrio, Volos and Kavala, tickets are canceled without cancellations or converted to an open date or for another date, up to 14 days before departure .
Up to 7 days before departure, 25% cancellation is withheld or alternatively the tickets are converted to an open date or for another date.
The above also applies to intermediate routes.

LOW SEASON: all other dates
 
• 3 days before departure: Tickets are canceled without cancellations or converted to an open date or for another date.
• From 3 days before departure up to 1 hour before departure: 50% cancellation is withheld or alternatively the tickets are converted to an open date or for another date.
• 1 hour before departure: 50% cancellation fees are withheld.
• After departure: Tickets are not canceled and are not converted to open date, while the date can not be changed.
 
SARONIC LINES

HIGH PERIOD: 23/04 / 21-09 / 05/21 & 11/06 / 21-26 / 09/21

Up to 4 days before departure: Tickets are canceled without cancellations or converted to open date or for another date.

Up to 2 hours before departure: 50% cancellation is canceled or alternatively the tickets are converted into an open date or for another date.

 Until departure: 50% cancellation fees are withheld, tickets are not converted to open date, while date change is not possible.

On the Piraeus-Aegina-Agistri line, tickets are converted to an open date or for another date, until departure.

After departure: Tickets are not canceled and are not converted to open date, while date change is not possible.

* The period from 23/04 / 21-01 / 05/21 & from 17/06 / 21-19 / 06/21 for all departures from Piraeus and the period from 02/05 / 21-09 / 05/21 & 21/06 / 21-22 / 06/21 for all departures to Piraeus, tickets are canceled without cancellations or converted to an open date or for another date, up to 7 days before departure. LOW SEASON: all other dates

 Up to 1 day before departure: Tickets are canceled without cancellation fees or converted to an open date or other date.

Until departure: 50% cancellation is withheld or alternatively the tickets are converted into an open date or for another date.

 After departure: Tickets are not canceled and are not converted to open date, while date change is not possible.
 

OPEN DATE TICKETS

Open date tickets are not accepted for boarding unless the departure date is confirmed and a Boarding Card is issued. Tickets are valid indefinitely.

If the passenger wishes to travel on a date with a higher fare than the fare he has paid, then he must pay the difference between the current fare and the fare he has paid.

Upon boarding, the original ticket and boarding pass must be presented to the responsible Ship Officers conducting the inspection.
 

SUPER ECONOMY

• These tickets are not canceled, do not convert to an open date and it is not possible to change the destination, date and time of travel.
• Tickets are registered and non-transferable.
 

SPECIAL ECONOMY

• These tickets are canceled, converted to an open date (the Company cancellation policy applies) and the travel date can be changed. In case the passenger travels in a period when the offer is not valid, he will be able to change his ticket, paying the replacement corresponding difference.
• Tickets are registered and non-transferable.


DELAY - CANCELLATION OF SCHEDULE

DEPARTURE OF DEPARTURE:

Passengers and vehicles can board without changing their tickets.

TRAVEL CANCELLATION:

The canceled departure tickets are not valid for boarding and must be changed for the next scheduled departure, where seats are available, with the issuance of a Boarding Card.

In cases where the route is delayed or canceled due to force majeure (eg bad weather), passengers are kindly requested to contact the company's port offices to be informed of the new departure time of the ship.
 

LOSS OF TICKETS

In case of loss of the ticket, in order to be able to travel the passenger will have to buy a new ticket. He must then declare the loss in writing stating the date of the trip, the route, the number of the lost ticket, the number of the new ticket purchased and a photocopy thereof.
If the lost ticket is not found in the company's records to have traveled within 1 month from the date of travel, the company will issue a free ticket of equal value to the lost one.

PASSENGER - VEHICLE TICKETS

According to the P.D. 102/2019 (AD 182) the provisions of P.D. 23/1999 "Registration of persons traveling by passenger ships operating to or from Greek ports in accordance with Directive 98/41 / EC / 1998".

In order to be able to register the passengers, the tickets are issued by NAME and specifically must be indicated:
- THE SURNAME OF THE PASSENGER
- THE NAME OF THE PASSENGER (in full)
GENDER: MEN / WOMEN
- CITIZENSHIP (eg GR)
- THE DATE OF BIRTH (Day / Month / Year)

In addition to the above, people who need SPECIAL CARE must be declared to the issuing agency.

The issuance of a ticket on board is prohibited and therefore, in order to avoid unnecessary inconvenience, passengers must make timely reservations and issue tickets.

Children up to 5 years old: it is mandatory to issue a ticket with zero fare.
 

UNACCOMPANIED MINOR CHILD


The transport of minor passengers, who have completed the 15th to the 18th year of age, without the accompaniment of a parent or guardian, is allowed with the following conditions: Completion of a Responsible Declaration by the parent or legal guardian of the minor, certified with the original signature the Police or Port Authority. To board the ship, the minor passenger must have with his / her ticket, the original Declaration, as well as his / her Police Identity Card for the confirmation of the identity. In any case, the parent or legal guardian of the minor passenger bears full responsibility for the timely acquisition and approval of the Responsible Declaration, as well as all accompanying documents that may be required at the port of departure. In no case is the company responsible if due to insufficient documents and / or certificates of identity, boarding is not allowed by the competent Officers of the ship or the Port Authorities. COVID POLICY

Cancellation Policy from 15/04 / 20-06 / 07/20 (Government Gazette 84 / Α / 13-4-2020) - COVID-19 // According to the Act of Legislative Content (Measures to address the ongoing consequences of the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19) Government Gazette 84 / Α / 13-4-2020, the provisions of article 65 (Debts from cancellations of sea voyages) are implemented from 15/04/2020 to 06/07/2020 and therefore the cancellation policy, as follows:

Passengers, holders of tickets with a travel date until 31/10/2020, which have been issued until 06/07/2020, who can not travel due to travel restrictions or do not wish to travel due to uncertainty due to the pandemic or due to cancellation of their scheduled services, they must convert their tickets into an open date at least 24 hours before departure, in order to use them on the next trip to any destination served by Blue Star Ferries and Hellenic Seaways, within for a period of 18 months from the date of travel of the original ticket.

In case the passenger wishes to travel on a date or in a seat category for the same or different destination, with a higher fare than the fare of the original ticket, then the resulting fare difference must be paid.

If the time period has elapsed 18 months and open date tickets have not been used, then passengers are entitled to receive 100% of the fare of open tickets in their possession.
